A letter and set of gifts given to the crew on the Five Nights at Freddy's movie has confirmed that Nightmare Cupcake will appear in the film, as well as putting a lot of emphasis on the word "Springlock", for some reason.

Even though we've been waiting a long time for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie, there's not much we actually officially know about it, as all we've seen so far is a single still image of Freddy Fazbear standing outside with a small child. The leaked trailer gave a few more details, but it was so blurry and unfinished that it wasn't easy to see anything specific.

While we're still waiting on that trailer to be officially released so we can find out more about the FNAF movie, we've just got an interesting new update from an unlikely place - a letter to the crew thanking them for their work on the movie. Over on the Five Nights at Freddy's subreddit, Redditor Hiwhatsup- revealed that their aunt had worked on the movie as a costume designer and had been given a few gifts at the end of its production, which reveal some interesting things about the movie.

The first thing that Hiwhatsup- shared was a letter that was given to the crew. The letter thanks staff for their work on the movie, pointing out that they managed to survive 43 nights (presumably how long they worked on the film). Beyond misspelling Fazbear as "Fazzbear" (which the Reddit comments were quick to point out), the letter also seemingly confirms that Nightmare Cupcake, who first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, is going to appear at some point in the movie.

The letter reads, "Thanks to you, this cast and crew will make the world believe a bear can sing, a cupcake can bite, and a Springlock can sting", which is a clear reference to the much more toothy Cupcake that appears in the nightmare sequences of Five Nights at Freddy's 4. That seems to suggest that, although the film will be based on the first game, it'll take elements from across the whole series.

Another interesting thing to note is that "Springlock" is capitalised, which seems to imply that it's some sort of character in the film. It definitely sounds a lot like Springtrap, the main enemy from Five Nights at Freddy's 3, although it's unlikely that they'd change his name just for the movie. Whether it's another character altogether or a reference to the springlock mechanism in a suit isn't clear, but it does seem to be important. Then again, they also misspelt Fazbear, so who knows.
