Last month, head of PlayStation Productions Asad Qizilbash revealed that the studio has a "bit" of animation currently in production, suggesting that PlayStation plans on taking one of its established franchises and adapting it into either a cartoon series or an anime. More recently, a popular anime news Twitter account suggested that this project will more than likely be an anime, and PlayStation fans are already making their cases for why their favorite series should be the one to be adapted.

In a recent ResetEra thread (thanks PushSquare), there are tonnes of PlayStation fans on their knees, trying to manifest an anime adaptation of their personal pick. While pretty much every PlayStation property imaginable is named in the thread, the massive list of currently announced adaptations rules out heavy hitters like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and more. Nevertheless, this just leads to a bunch of more interesting suggestions.

The most obvious, and seemingly most popular, choice among fans seems to be Gravity Rush. Developer Japan Studio was shut down quite a while back now, but Gravity Rush fans are hoping that the series might make a comeback in the form of an anime. ResetEra user oni-links also brings up the fact that Gravity Rush has already been adapted into a couple of anime episodes, so it wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility that Sony could greenlight a full series. HardRojo also claims that an adaptation could give the series a second chance.

Speaking of long forgotten franchises, there are more than a handful of shouts for Bloodborne to receive an anime adaptation as well. Batatina loves the idea of a Bloodborne anime in the style of Chainsaw Man, although they think it might be a tad too violent for PlayStation to consider. Still, similarly gorey anime adaptations such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Netflix's Castlevania series were greenlit, so we can't write it off just yet.

However, if PlayStation was to go for something a bit more family-friendly, there are plenty of suggestions for those too. CrimsonEchidna gives Jak & Daxter a shoutout, while Jawmuncher speculates that Ratchet & Clank is one of the few relevant PlayStation franchises that isn't currently being adapted in any way, as far as we know.

Whatever the case, this thread proves that PlayStation has got a healthy vault full of promising titles it could easily adapt. Personally, I'm all aboard the Gravity Rush hype train - come on PlayStation, it's a slam dunk!
