The Five Nights at Freddy's movie has slowly become one of the year's most anticipated video game adaptations for a legion of fans out there, desperate to see Freddy Fazbear on the big screen later this year. We've seen very little from official sources so far, but the movie's first set of posters has given us a better look at the murderous animatronics roaming throughout Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.

Uploaded by Blumhouse, five posters in total have been shared via the production company's official Twitter account, each one focusing on one of the animatronics that will feature in the movie. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy all take centre stage on their own poster, with the fifth being a rather menacing combinaton of the four looking towards the camera. As a little treat, Nightmare Cupcake is also in there after being confirmed by the crew earlier this month.

As you might expect from a fanbase as ravenous as the one Five Nights At Freddy's has managed to amass, excitement is through the roof. Blumhouse's tweets sharing the posters exploded very shortly after they were uploaded, racking up tens of thousands of likes and retweets in less than an hour. The replies and Quote Tweets are filled with fans expressing their enthusiasm, and I shudder to think of what the reaction to a full blown trailer is going to be if this is what we're getting over some posters.

Of course, an unfinished version of the trailer for the movie is already out there, although it's in glorious potato quality, as is expected from any leak. Scott Cawthon recently expressed his disappointment over the leak in a statement on the game's subreddit, while the leaker themselves say they shared the trailer "for the people", even though they signed an NDA. A messy situation for sure.

Fortunately, these posters will sweep all of that disappointment under the rug, and the wait for an official trailer is surely set to end soon now that Blumhouse is starting to get a little more serious about marketing. We still don't know when that will be though, so it's best to keep an eye on any official Blumhouse social media platforms if you want to stay up to date. The movie itself is still set to launch on October 27 - just in time for the spooky season - so we'll likely get a trailer in the next few months at the very least. Until then, we at least we have some nice posters to look at.
