Beat Saber is finally available on PS VR2 three months after the headset's launch, complete with a brand-new Queen music pack that comes with a new custom environment and light show. The pack will cost you $13.99 if you fancy some classic rock.

We found out Beat Saber was coming to PS VR2 way back in January, but there was no concrete date. Instead, it opted to shadow drop during the Showcase, but hey, at least that means you don't have to wait any longer, eh?

The trailer showed off at the PlayStation Showcase gave us a glimpse at Queen's iconic song, Don't Stop Me Now, so for those who picked up the new PS VR2, you can dive in and try out some new tracks to celebrate.

Now that it's available on PS VR2, it has improved performance, and if you already own the original, you'll get the upgrade for free. All previously purchased packs will also be compatible.

The Queen music pack comes with the following songs:

  • Another One Bites the Dust
  • Bohemian Rhapsody
  • Crazy Little Thing Called Love
  • Don’t Stop Me Now
  • I Want It All
  • Killer Queen
  • One Vision
  • Somebody to Love
  • Stone Cold Crazy
  • We Are The Champions
  • We Will Rock You

If you haven't played Beat Saber, it's an incredibly popular rhythm game in which you're handed two legally-distinct lightsabers and told to swing at incoming boxes. They all have different arrows on them to indicate which way you should slice, and by the end, you nab a score going up to SS. While there are plenty of original and free songs packed in, you can also buy licensed music packs from artists like Lady Gaga and Green Day.

It can be played on a song-by-song basis, picking your favourite tunes and a difficulty you're comfortable with, but you can also play through a campaign to earn trophies. It was already available on PS VR, but has been unsupported on the new PS VR2 since its launch. Finally, that's changed, and all those with the sparkly new PlayStation virtual reality kit can enjoy the fast-paced workout that is Beat Saber again. Or those who just got into VR can finally try it for the first time.

"We’d like to thank every single one of our players and community members who have supported us through the years," developer Beat Games wrote. "Thank you for all the support, love, and excitement that you continue to share with us. If you’re joining us as a new player, we’re happy to welcome you to our enthusiastic community. If you’ve slashed away on PS VR before and are now upgrading to PS VR2, we’re excited to see you back!"
