If you're an avid player of Final Fantasy 14 and you and your party are up for a challenge, you can't really go wrong with The Omega Protocol (Ultimate) raid. It's the game's latest Ultimate Raid and is essentially a six phase boss fight that has to be tackled with a full party, meaning it's probably the most difficult task that Final Fantasy 14 players can set out to accomplish at the moment. There are a lot of players out there that don't even bother with them, that's how rough they can be.

However, just like any gaming community that is faced with a seemingly impossible task, there are plenty of Final Fantasy 14 players out there who thrive off of the challenge. That seems to be the exact case with the party of players that is the focus of today's story, who not only managed to beat The Omega Protocol, but did it without any dedicated healers as well, potentially becoming the first players in the world to do so.

A party going by the name of Casual Player (very funny) posted their clear earlier this week, showing off the full six phase battle from beginning to end. You can view the entire clear down below, which takes the group roughly 19 minutes to finish off The Omega Protocol's sixth phase. Of course, this is just the group's clear attempt, and the amount of preparation and coordination that must have gone on behind the scenes to even attempt something of this magnitude must have been off the scale.

There are plenty of fellow Final Fantasy 14 in the comments of the video congratulating the team on their accomplishment, as well as baffled as to how something like this is even possible. There are also a couple of commenters telling the group to take it one step further, as Verum asks them to clear the raid "without the job crystal" next, and Sifren2 who says the next challenge is to beat The Omega Protocol raid with a team of eight botanists.

Plenty of people are also hoping that the developers of the game see and acknowlege this achievement, although you'd be hard pressed pulling Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshia away from his Nintendo Switch at the moment. Just like the rest of us, he's caught the Tears of the Kingdom fever, and was even spotted playing the game during the latest Final Fantasy 14 test stream for update 6.4. We're all allowed a hobby, I suppose.
