Once you gain access to a Servant Coffin in V Rising, build it immediately. This will allow you to turn the game's human enemies into your servants. You'll have to bring their health down, use the Dominating Presence power to charm them, and safely deliver them to the Servant Coffin in your castle.
Get a Castle Throne, and you can start ordering your servants around in V Rising. They'll defend your castle, infiltrate enemy castles, and can hunt or gather resources. They also can be equipped with gear like your character can. Pick the best ones, raise their gear level, and you'll have an unmatched Vampire Army.
8 Footman
Making a Footman your servant in V Rising is pretty easy. They aren't incredibly powerful, but there are tons of them found across the map. Multiple Footman units can bolster the defenses of your castle, though they'll mostly be fodder.
If you can turn a large number of Footman units into your servants, they'll take the brunt of any attack on your territory. While they are attacked but also dealing damage, your stronger servants will be able to target the occupied enemies for a quick victory.
7 Nun
There's a slight irony in turning a Nun into a vampiric servant. Nevertheless, they're a great choice. They don't put up much of a fight against you, so you can farm them if you have the time and willingness to do so.
Nuns are healing units in V Rising. If you're a PVP player, your castle will come under attack whether you like it or not. Having a few Nuns in the back lines to heal the rest of your warrior servants defending the castle is a must.
6 Paladin
Paladins are strong melee units in V Rising. You might even run into trouble trying to turn one into a servant. That's how powerful they are. If you can get one on your side, however, you'll have a mighty fighter to back you up.
They strike a bit slow, but each hit that lands is more devastating than the last. Paladins come with high-leveled skills and abilities already. If you add your own gear to them, that will simply make them more dangerous for any player trying to trespass in your domain.
5 Miner
Resources are often the center of many battles in V Rising. If you want to gather some without having to do too much work on your own, make some Miners your servants. No matter the faction, they all come with the Worker blood type.
The Worker blood type means that difficulty is decreased by 100 when they infiltrate a settlement. And depending on their faction, they'll get a 20 percent increase in loot gathered from a hunt in a certain location. Expert gatherers are necessary to keep the resources flowing.
4 Archer
Every powerful army has ranged units. You'll be less capable than many other players if you don't capture some Archers in V Rising. Make some your servants, and they can protect your castle without ever having to get up close and personal with an enemy onslaught.
They are also wonderful hunters. With the Brute blood type, difficulty is decreased by 100 when hunting in harsh environments. Dangerous areas you don't want to go with high-level loot to grab are where Archers shine.
3 Priest
Priests can conjure up additional units to fight on their behalf. Their summoning and spells are enough to see enemy players turn around as soon as they notice a Priest holding the line. That's because they have plenty of attacks that vampires are susceptible to. PVP is a lot easier with a couple of them as servants.
The downside is that priests are pretty fragile. You'll want to make sure lesser soldiers are available to take the hits if a priest is in battle. They'll fight from afar and deal high damage. There really aren't any other units that can withstand too many attacks from a Priest if it is protected.
2 Villager
Villagers are in abundance. Most of them come with the Worker blood type through either the Militia or the Church of Luminance. One from the Militia faction does have the Scholar blood type, however, so you can have some variety.
Making a Villager your servant in V Rising is quick and simple. Gather a ton of them to do your dirty work. You can make them take all the hits in a castle attack. They can hunt and infiltrate settlements. Villagers are as expendable as they come, but they are easily replaceable, and an army of them is hard to deal with.
1 Lightweaver
As you play through V Rising, you will learn to despise Lightweaver units. They are mages with teleportation abilities and huge area of effect attacks. This is a high-risk high-reward situation. Lightweavers are perhaps the hardest enemy in V Rising to turn, but you want at least one as your servant.
They are annoying as it gets in a fight. A lot of players don't even bother attacking a castle if a Lightweaver is in sight. Don't use these for resource gathering or hunting. Instead, use it as a scarecrow to keep other players at bay and leave your castle unharmed.
