Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been in the hands of fans for a couple of weeks now, and just like the first, it's considered a pretty tough time. That's no surprise considering its heavily inspired by the soulslike genre, and naturally every gamer looking to show off their Jedi skills has flocked to the title in an attempt to beat it in the most challenging ways possible. Already, one player has managed to beat the entire game from start to finish on Jedi Grandmaster difficulty without taking damage.

The player in question is Hayete, a well-known speedrunner that has several world records in the previous game - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. As explained in the description of their video (which can be found embedded down below), the only criteria for their run was that Cal Kestis' health couldn't drop below 100 percent, apart from in unavoidable transitions during one particular boss fight. Be warned that while I won't talk about them here, the video and its description contain pretty heavy spoilers.

To make things even more challenging, Hayete put the game on its hardest difficulty setting and didn't allow themself to change it at all once each playthrough started. They also made it so that they couldn't restart from the latest checkpoint if they did end up taking damage, instead forcing themself to start all the way from the beginning of the game. Those were the only requirements for the run, and Hayete skips past most of the optional content and fights to focus on the main story.

Hayete's successful run takes 7 hours and 39 minutes, the video for which was uploaded to their YouTube channel. They explain in a separate Reddit post on the FallenOrder subreddit that it took them over 170 hours in total to finally beat the game without taking any damage, and also explain some of the tactics they use in certain encounters, as well as their overall opinion on the game's combat system. If it wasn't obvious from this entire exercise, they're a pretty big fan.

The video itself also has pretty detailed commentary as well as time stamps if you want to see how Hayete managed to take no damage during certain portions of the game. They also promise that they're going to attempt a 100 percent no damage run on their Twitch channel during the next few weeks, in which they'll complete all the optional content they didn't cover in this run. Let us keep our fingers crossed that they don't run into too much trouble with Oggdo Bogdo.
