Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is proving a hit with the big budget sequel to the best selling Fallen Order doing well in the sales charts and among players. Many aspects of the game have improved from its predecessor, from combat to traversal, and generally everything feels like it's been turned up to eleven. However, that doesn't mean everything is perfect.

In Survivor, Cal Kestis has up to five available stances, which is a major change from the lightsaber combat in the previous game, while players must go to certain rest points in order to swap out which stances they want to use. It's been one of the most common complaints among the player base since you can only equip two stances at a time, which makes combat that much more limited since Cal doesn't have all five stances at his disposal. But one fan was determined to make things better and maybe Respawn could take some inspiration from their efforts.

While the PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has had a rough launch, to put it very lightly, with reports of abundant glitches and performance issues, the developer has been hard at work addressing the problems with patches. Meanwhile, the PC version will always benefit in other ways compared to the console versions. And that's of course in the mods that fans create, with some helping to fix performance too. But a recent mod also overhauled the lightsaber stances and how they're used (via PCGamesN). The mod creator also made a handy video showing their wares, which you can watch below:

As the video demonstrates, with the mod installed, Cal can now access all five of his different lightsaber stances at once. It's a pretty glorious sight all in all, with the smooth switching a beautiful thing. This should make combat and general gameplay that much more dynamic and it does make one wonder why Respawn didn't do this in the first place. Perhaps the developer wanted to limit players in order to make the game more challenging or having the player be more considered in which stances they selected in order to boost the mindfulness of play (which would be very Jedi indeed).

The mod's creator is one R457 (very Droid-sounding name there) and the mod is called Lightsaber Stances. It's only been out in the world for a few days but has already been downloaded hundreds of times. "All five stances available at your disposal when needed - just press a button", the mod's description reads. Handily, there's copious amount of notes and details about mod installation. You can find the 'Lightsaber Stances' mod over on Nexus Mods here.
