Star Wars and Pokemon are obviously completely different series. It is quite amazing the similarities they share, however. There are many Jedi who would make great Pokemon trainers. Just as many Pokemon match the personalities of the Jedi that they could find themselves with.
Several Jedi in the Star Wars universe are gifted with the power to tame the galaxy's mightiest beasts. That would come in handy when starting their Pokemon journey. They'd have no problem catching the Pokemon that would make their perfect partner. Together, they could take the fight to the Sith and tackle the Pokemon League challenge with ease.
8 Qui-Gon Jinn And Hisuian Zorua
Qui-Gon Jinn has been very impactful in the greater scheme of Star Wars. While he fell at the hands of Darth Maul, he became the first known Jedi to become one with the Force. This allowed him to project himself as a Force ghost and revisit the land of the living. Most notably, he appeared before his old apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The perfect Pokemon partner for Qui-Gon Jinn is definitely the Hisuian variant of Zorua. Hisuian Zorua has the ability to transform into other creatures. Its Pokedex entry also states that it is a once-departed soul returned to life in the region. Just as Qui-Gon was a departed soul who returned to aid Kenobi.
7 Kit Fisto And Politoed
Kit Fisto's perfect Pokemon partner could only be a Water-type. He and Politoed have much more in common than just sharing a green color scheme. They are both confident leaders who fight alongside those under their command.
Politoed is known to let out a cry, calling Poliwags and Poliwhirls to it and acting as their king. Kit Fisto led a trooper of underwater scuba clones during The Clone Wars. Both are highly respected among their communities, other Pokemon, and Jedi, and would make a tricky team to beat in battle.
6 Mace Windu And Nidoking
Mace Windu is often regarded as one of the coolest Jedi of all time. It only makes sense to pair him up with a Pokemon that matches the machismo he brings to the Order with his purple lightsaber. That Pokemon, of course, is the ferocious Nidoking.
It is said that Mace Windu is aware of the power of the Dark Side and has practiced it, but remains on the Light. The rage of the Dark is something Nidoking knows all too well. As they work together, Mace Windu's expertise in the Force and Nidoking's raw strength would be unmatched.
5 Rey And Shinx
Throughout the Star Wars sequel trilogy, we watched as Rey began her journey to becoming a Jedi. Much like Rey, Shinx is the first evolution in its line and is beginning its journey to become a mighty Luxray. Rey starts with a blue lightsaber and ends with a yellow one, also going along with the color scheme of Shinx. It all comes together.
Coincidentally, Rey knows how to utilize Force Lightning and Shinx is an Electric-type Pokemon. Because of Rey's perceived innocence at first, she matches well with the cute and cuddly Shinx. It is only when they are both truly tested that their full power is put on display.
4 Plo Koon And Zapdos
In the time of the Republic and the Clone Wars, many Jedi claimed that Plo Koon was the best star pilot in the Jedi Order. He was also known as a master of Force Judgment, an attack that resembled Force Lightning that most Jedi frowned upon. Thus, the only choice for his perfect Pokemon partner is Zapdos.
Zapdos is a legendary Electric/Flying-type from the Kanto region. It is capable of creating thunderstorms and is said to become even more powerful when struck by lightning. Well, Force Judgment from Plo Koon to Zapdos would make it one of the strongest Jedi and Pokemon pairs around. Only a calm and tactical Jedi like Plo Koon would be able to control such a creature.
3 Obi-Wan Kenobi And Dragonite
Both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Dragonite are kind and thoughtful, but exceptionally dangerous when the situation calls upon it. Kenobi was the original Jedi in Star Wars while Dragonite was the original pseudo-legendary Dragon-type in Pokemon. Though other Jedi and Pokemon were created in attempts to surpass them, they remain reliable and fan-favorites.
The pair is a prime example of altruism in their respective series. Dragonite frequently puts itself in danger to save other Pokemon and humans. And Kenobi notoriously saved members of the Ghost Crew in Rebels, even though it would bring him out of hiding on Tatooine, where he was to keep a watchful eye on a young Luke Skywalker. Plus, Obi-Wan loves taking the high ground and Dragonite could get him there.
2 Luke Skywalker And Mabosstiff
It is clear that when Star Wars reached its sequel trilogy, Luke Skywalker was a bit washed up. His glory days were very much over. The same can be said about Mabosstiff in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The dog was old and starting to break down before its trainer helped it regain its strength.
The comparison comes from both Luke and Mabosstiff being pulled back from the brink. The stubbornness of Rey and Arven is what returned the two of them to a state of prominence. Luke assisted the Resistance in fighting off the First Order and Mabosstiff became one of the main battlers on Arven's team, helping him and your character complete the main Scarlet and Violet story.
1 Yoda And Shiny Mewtwo
Yoda and Mewtwo have a ton in common. Normally, Mewtwo is white and purple, but to match him with Yoda, his green shiny version makes the most sense. Their colors and their sheer power are what bring them together. Both are arguably considered the strongest to ever exist in their respective areas, Yoda the Jedi and Mewtwo with Pokemon.
Mewtwo would definitely respect the strength and leadership of Yoda, offering to fight by his side. Then the two of them would master their battles with their minds. Yoda uses the Force unlike any other and Mewtwo is an unstoppable Psychic-type. What's more, both of them have gone into exile, as Yoda moves to Degobah and Mewtwo rests in a dark cave. The similarities are astounding.
