Separate from skills and abilities that add more layers your saber combat and force usage, Cal Kestis will come across Perks in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. These Perks can be equipped at a Meditation Point. There is a catch, however. Only three Perk slots are available at first, but you can purchase an extra one from Zee's shop or earn them by completing certain rumors.

You'll have to decide which Perks you want to utilize as you travel across the galaxy fighting the Empire and the Bedlam Raiders. With over 20 available, you can improve your lightsaber or blaster and even create more opportunities to regain health. Just make sure you choose a few of the good ones.

10 Shatter

Cal Kestis slides into a BX droid attempting to block his lightsaber attack in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

You can gain the Shatter Perk in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor by completing the Find the Missing Prospectors rumor. It takes two perk slots and is one of several offensive perks you'll come across in the game.

When you fight melee-based enemies, especially some of the tougher ones, they'll block a handful of your opening attacks. Shatter makes your strikes much more effective at breaking their guard, so you can land real hits a lot quicker.

9 Dexterity

Cal Kestis throws his double-bladed lightsaber around his body at three imperial troopers in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Dexterity is a Perk that is earned after you complete the Chamber of Reason. It requires two available perk slots to utilize. If you're one to constantly throw your lightsaber at enemies, this is the Perk for you.

With Dexterity, your lightsaber throws will deal more damage than normal. This works for any type of throw. If you aim and use the force to send your lightsaber forward or if it is one of the stance-specific skills, it'll get a boost.

8 Perplexity

Cal Kestis uses a Jedi Mind Trick on a flame trooper that attacks his fellow flame trooper in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Some Perks are granted after important moments in the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor story. Perplexity is one of them. You'll pick it up after you defeat Dagan Gera at the Mountain Observatory.

This Perk increases damage dealt by confused enemies. If you use the good old Jedi Mind Trick to get the opposition to fight on your side for a brief moment, Perplexity sees that they do more damage to their once allies.

7 Marksmanship

Cal Kestis points his blaster with one hand and holds a lightsaber in the other in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Marksmanship is one of the simplest Perks you'll find in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. When using the Blaster stance, Cal's blaster shots do more damage. This is a basic offensive buff that will be a nice addition to your blaster and lightsaber combo if you prefer that stance.

It isn't the easiest Perk to obtain, though. You'll have to head to the Stone Spires, near the Grand Courtyard Meditation Point. This is in the Devastated Settlement area of Koboh. Climb the second set of vines near the shortcut rope and interact with the Force Essence in the building to get it.

6 Equilibrium

Cal Kestis pulls a flame trooper in with the force in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Several Perks in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can be purchased from Zee's Datadisc Decryption. This is a shop Zee sets up in Pyloon's Saloon. The currency used here are High Republic Datadiscs you'll find across Koboh. Equilibrium is a Perk bought here for five Datadiscs.

If you like using the force as part of your combat technique, Equilibrium is right up your alley. Whenever you use a force ability, the next lightsaber attack you do will have a damage buff. If you force pull an enemy to you, you can strike them and deal huge damage.

5 Versatility

Cal Kestis has quickly switched to his double-bladed lightsaber stance to block blaster shots from a Droideka in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The Versatility Perk is available from Zee's Datadisc Decryption in Pyloon's Saloon and it will set you back five High Repbulic Datadiscs. Just go to her on the second floor of the building after you've gotten far enough through the story to have rescued her.

With this Perk equipped, you'll receive a damage boost to any attack you deliver after switching stances. This increase lasts for a brief period, meaning it isn't just given to the first attack upon using the new stance.

4 Ambidexterity

Cal Kestis fires his blaster at a Purge Trooper in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

After you complete the Devastated Settlement Chamber in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you'll be rewarded with the Ambidexterity Perk. It is an offensive Perk that will require the use of three slots if you want to activate it.

If you put this Perk on Cal, you'll want to use the Blaster stance. After shooting a target, a temporary lightsaber damage increase will be delivered. That makes his Blaster stance the deadliest one available when Ambidexterity is live.

3 Wisdom

Cal Kestis slices through a Droideka with his lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Wisdom is the only XP related Perk worth using in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. There's no fine print with it like Gambler, where you can't restore your XP after death. Instead, you simply gain more experience from defeating enemies.

You should purchase this as soon as Zee's Datadisc Decryption opens up. It costs five Datadiscs and will make your time playing through Jedi: Survivor much easier. The extra experience earned from defeating even the most basic enemies will allow you to upgrade your skills very quickly.

2 Patience

Cal Kestis activates his upgraded Slow ability against several Stormtroopers in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Upon completion of the Chamber of Detachment, the Patience Perk will be yours. It becomes available during your third storyline driven trip to Koboh in the Mountain Ascent area. Like many others, it requires three Perk slots.

It is absolutely worth all three of those slots. One of Cal Kestis' most useful abilities is Slow. He can slow down time to easily attack enemies and not worry about damage being dealt back to him. With Patience, using Slow will refill some of Cal's health. That is invaluable in tough boss battles.

1 Persistence

Cal Kestis walks away from a Purge Trooper after striking him down during his Slow ability in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

There will be quite a few times in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor where you are swarmed by enemies. On the higher difficulty levels, being outnumbered can be a death sentence. That's why you should pick up the Persistence Perk after completing the Chamber of Fortitude.

This two slot Perk is all about keeping Cal in tip-top shape. Activate the Slow ability and start slashing away at your enemies. For each one you kill during the Slow period, you'll regain some of Cal's health and ensure he makes it out alive.
