Koboh is the central planet in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It is where Cal recruits a variety of individuals to hang out or set up shop in Greez's saloon. The planet acts as a hub and is easily the largest location in the game. That means it is filled with a variety of animals you'll encounter.

There are several creatures native to Koboh and some that aren't. One-off boss fights with beasts clearly moved there from another planet don't count, but that still leaves quite a few species that wander Koboh. These creatures either make your time a little tougher on the planet or offer you assistance in your travels.

10 Bogling

Cal and BD-1 approach a couple of Boglings in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Boglings are cute little creatures originally found on Bogano. However, they got there, and a large group settled on Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, even though they don't really serve a purpose other than livening up the environment.

You'll see them hopping around and might be able to pet one here and there, otherwise, they jump away when you approach. There's no taming them to make a friend or slicing them up with your lightsaber.

9 Rawka

Cal swings his double-bladed lightsaber at a Rawka in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Rawkas are just plain annoying, and they are seemingly flightless birds that look harmless at first and are anything but. They are very protective of their territory, so when you come across a few in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they'll immediately attack.

They aren't too hefty in terms of health, meaning you should be able to take them out rather quickly. If you don't, their unblockable pecking strike will hurt.

The in-game database does call them dim-witted. That should give you an idea of what to expect upon first contact.

8 Shiverpede

Cal Kestis stands over a slain Shiverpede, sliced in half, in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Shiverpedes may very well be the coolest creature in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to kill with a lightsaber. There's just something awesome about the way they split in two with a single stroke of your Jedi weapon, and of course, you won't be able to do that if you don't see them.

The Koboh locals call them springers, as they like to spring up from their hiding spots. They blend in quite well with the terrain, so you won't notice them until they launch their attack unless you are really looking for them.

7 Trontoshell

The Trontoshell towers over Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The Trontoshell is a massive creature native to Koboh. You can't fight or interact with it really, but it is a spectacle to behold.

When you first land on Koboh as Cal, you have to bring the Mantis down in a not-so-gentle manner. From there, you have to travel to the settlement to meet with Greez, and you'll spot the Trontoshell along the way.

This beast is the Koboh equivalent of a dinosaur, as it has a long neck, a turtle-like shell on its back, and a distinct fin on its head. It also makes a beautiful noise that is very easy to distinguish from other creatures on the planet.

6 Mogu

Cal Kestis leaps to bring his lightsaber down into the chest of a Mogu in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

If Bigfoot is the forest version of the Abominable Snowman, think of Mogu as that type of counterpart to the Wampa. It is a violent predator with brown fur and two large tusks coming from the top of its head.

Good luck escaping one without a fight, as they are known to chase after any prey until it becomes their food.

You'll often come across a Mogu fighting Bedlam Raiders or Imperial Stormtroopers. You can use your mind trick abilities to get one on your side for a short time, but when that runs out, it will come after you.

The worst part is that they have dangerous slamming attacks and get even more vicious if they lose a limb, which is not a great pairing when your weapon of choice cuts everything it touches.

5 Relter

A Relter curiously inspects Cal Kestis and BD-1 as they approach in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

While Relters are weird-looking creatures, they're also extremely helpful on your journey. As you progress through the Koboh portions of the story, you'll gain the ability to tame creatures, and the Relter is one of them and it allows you to fly across certain points by holding onto its legs.

These are very skittish creatures that will drop you to your demise if you come across any danger or simply fly into a cliffside while holding onto them. Just make sure you guide them properly and maybe hit a natural air vent or two to get higher up and reach your destination.

As strange as they are, they're one of the most useful fauna on the planet.

4 Bilemaw

Cal Kestis raises his hand to use the force against a Vile Bilemaw in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The Bilemaw is a rhino-like creature you'll encounter on Koboh in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. It has a thick hide making it all but invincible to blaster damage, and you'll need to use your lightsaber in hopes of bringing one down.

As the name implies, it spits out bile that can cause damage, and it also bites and kicks those who intrude on its cavern. This is definitely one of the most fun creatures to mind control in the game, and if you get it to partner up with Cal for a brief moment, you can watch it charge imperials or raiders and launch them off the side of the map, which is super satisfying.

3 Gorocco

The Gorocco Matriarch slams Cal Kestis into the ground in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Goroccos stake their claim to the many bluffs and crevices found along the planet of Koboh. If you come too close to their homes, you're in trouble, as these mighty beasts use whatever they can to thrash their prey.

You'll be dodging quite a few projectiles as they launch stones, rocks, and bundles of mud in your direction. Thankfully, you can use whatever it throws against it. Just grab it with the force and throw it back.

Make sure you follow up with some other attacks, though, as Goroccos are known to heal very quickly. That can make fights with them last much longer than other creatures, and it also allows them to fight by your side for a longer period of time before being struck down by your enemies.

2 Bramlik

Cal Kestis uses the force to lift a Bramlik in front of him in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The Bramlik is just plain disgusting. It is a spiky ball with a wide mouth, filled with teeth, and a long tongue.

These are best dealt with from afar, like with a blaster or by using the force to dispatch them. They come in handy against other hostile creatures you'll find on Koboh.

If you pull one in with the force, its tongue will lash out, and it is simply hilarious to watch. They are mostly peaceful if you leave them alone, but at the first sign of danger, they'll quickly put up their defensive spikes, so use them as you force-push them into whatever else is in your way.

1 Nekko

Cal Kestis approaches a Nekko to tame it in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The Nekko is your best friend in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. You'll tame one on Koboh in the main story and will be able to tame any wild ones you find from there on out.

They are all over the surrounding area of Rambler's Reach and come in a variety of interesting colors. There is also a stable where you can leave one for later if you've become fond of it.

You'll need the Nekko mount to climb up slippery slopes and reach high platforms. It can jump, but you can follow its jump with one of your own to create a sort of super jump.

This allows you to get to places that aren't normally accessible, and you can fight like a knight on horseback with one. Swing Cal's lightsaber while riding a Nekko for a unique way to do battle.
