There are also tons of requests in the game that you'll get from NPCs, some of which with sweet rewards, and it's always nice to help people out. For one particular request, you're going to need to get your hands on wood, which is weirdly hard to come by in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. But fear not, we're writing this guide to make it easier for you to find it.

Updated on April 6, 2023 by Quinton O'Connor: Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are presently the hottest games around, but there is something to be said for how their predecessor, Arceus: Legends, just... works. The welcome respite from obtuse glitches and performance troubles has sent more than a few fans back to ancient Hisui, so we figure it'd be nice to touch up our wood-gathering guide with y'all in mind.

Where To Find Wood

Since wood is only needed for one crafting recipe in the entire game, it's not a common material to find lying around - even if it seems strange given how many trees there are everywhere. And, although the fellow down Craftworks in Jubilife Village does sell some materials, wood is not one of them.

It can be found at random, but it's quite rare. It will, however, spawn more frequently in five specific areas of the map. Here are the places where you're most likely to find wood in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

  • Obsidian Fieldlands: Northeast of Deertrack Path
  • Crimson Minelands: South of Brava Arena (near the fast travel point)
  • Cobalt Coastlands: Northwest of Castaway Shore
  • Coronet Highlands: Directly north of Heavenward Lookout
  • Alabaster Icelands: Glacial Terrace

These are our picks for your best bets for wood-spawning. That said, rejoice if you should happen to find it anyplace else. It has a low probability rate all across Hisui; it's just a tad higher in the above locales.

If you have a preference for one of these locations or if you've only unlocked Obsidian Fieldlands, go back to camp and tell Professor Laventon you want to return to Jubilife Village. Then, go back to the same location, and it will reset the location's spawns.

How To Make a Pokeshi Doll

As you progress through the game and increase your Star Rank as a member of Galaxy Team's Survey Corps, you'll receive requests from NPCs more frequently. Anvin, the shopkeeper at Craftworks, will ask you to make him a Pokeshi Doll - this is the 'Please! Make Me A Pokeshi Doll' request.

To make a Pokeshi doll in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, all you need is three pieces of wood. Once you've found it, you can craft it just like anything else - with a workbench or a crafting kit.

With the crafting kit, access it in your satchel by pressing up on the d-pad, then select the Pokeshi Doll icon. Press A again and your character will craft it.Once you have the Pokeshi doll in your inventory, go and talk to Anvil again. Pokeshi dolls can be sold for 1,000 Pokemon Dollars.

If you're using the workbench, press A to craft, then select the Pokeshi Doll icon. Press A again and your character will craft it.
