Stardew Valley's character creation is fairly simple and very customizable. There's even a variety of clothes to choose from. But sometimes, you just want to add something a little more - something different, something fun, something to make your game stand out.

Luckily, mods make anything possible. Want to be a witch? A fairy? Want your clothes to be more useful? There's a mod for that! Find the perfect outfit to fit the aesthetic of your game and have fun!

Most fashion/clothing mods require Fashion Sense, the framework which allows mods to change the game.

10 Rural Outfitters

The clothing options in Stardew Valley are great, but it's never enough. Unfortunately, Pelican Town is lacking a clothing store, and the ability to create your own clothes comes later in the game.

What can you do? Check out Rural Outfitters! This is a small mod pack comprised of many other fashion mods.

Find all kinds of cute clothing options, as well as some great accessories. Cute hats and animal ears will complete any outfit, and the colors fit in well with the game, ensuring you won't stand out too much in town.

9 Swimsuit Selections

You've had a long day, and it's time for a nice soak in the bathhouse. The game provides a default suit based on the gender you choose at the beginning of the game, but maybe you want something that feels more like you.

Swimsuit Selections has you covered. It offers an array of swimsuit types - one pieces, two pieces, full body, bikinis, and anything you can think of. And you can choose your own colors! Mix and match the options to find one that fits you and your ideal farmer style.

8 Hoods and Hoodies

Nothing is more comfortable than a nice big hoodie. Stardew's clothing options are great, but there are no hoodies, and sometimes that's all you want.

Hoods and Hoodies fixes the lack of hoodies, adding the ability to customize the perfect hoodie for you. Sleeves, no sleeves, pull-string or no pull-string, zipper-up or pull-over, hood or no hood, the options are nearly endless.

And that's not getting into the ability to make it whatever color you want. Take all the time you need to experiment and find your perfect hoodie.

7 Skillful Clothes

Clothing is great for setting your farmer apart from others, but it's for looks only. Skillful Clothes adds perks and buffs similar to rings. There are boosts for your skills - farming, foraging, fishing, combat, and mining, and you can get health or energy boosts, automatic health/energy regeneration, or perks to help make life a little easier.

For example, the cowboy hat will automatically pet animals when you walk by them. You don't even have to worry about sacrificing aesthetics for usefulness. The clothes are fashionable and functional!

6 Seasonal Hats

Seasonal Hats Fall Beret in Stardew Valley.

The mouse hat seller is always fun to visit, although their selection can be a little lacking. Use Seasonal Hats to add more options, each unique to the season you're buying them in.

You'll get flower crowns for Spring, sun hats for Summer, berets for Fall, and beanies for Winter. They pair well with mods like Seasonal Outfits, which changes the outfits of the NPCs around town.

Get your own hat, and never be jealous of someone's cute hat again!

5 Traveller's Attire

Sometimes you just want to be mysterious. If you play Stardew Valley Expanded, you've likely seen members of the Adventurer's Guild with their cloaks, and maybe you've thought, "I want a cloak like that."

Traveller's Attire is here to fulfill your mysterious desires. Don the cloak of a traveler and make your way through the shadows of Pelican Town, stealthy like a ninja.

4 Witchy Rustic Looks

Some mods lean heavily into the mystical aspects of Stardew Valley, and Witchy Rustic Looks is one of them. Add a slight Victorian aesthetic to your character, with cute witch dresses and hats to complete the magical feeling.

The dresses range from standard black robes to cute white dresses with a sweater vest. Put together outfits for any occasion, and make every day Spirit's Eve in Pelican Town with these spooky outfits!

3 Season of the Witch

Pelican Town is obviously a great place to be a witch. If you're looking to add a seasonal taste to your witch's outfit, try out Season of the Witch, which has two hats for fall and winter, one for summer and one for spring, and a colorable version of the vanilla hat.

Mix and match the different witchy mods to find a style that speaks to you, and continue on to live your best witch life.

You have nearly limitless options for combinations of wings, hats, and accessories, meaning you'll never run out of new outfits. Pair it with Fairydew Decorations and Fairies to make your gameplay truly magical.

1 Elf Ear

Not all mods have to add something big or amazing to the game. Sometimes it only takes something small to spice things up a little.

Elf Ear is exactly what it says on the tin - you get cute little elf ears on your farmer. In a world full of flashy mods that aim to be bigger and better, you should never forget to take time to appreciate the simple things in life.

That's what Stardew Valley is all about, after all - taking a step back from reality and enjoying some simple farming and monster slaying. And if you want to do that with elf ears, you absolutely can.
