In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Zelda has commandeered the house you bought and fixed up in Hateno Village in Breath of the Wild. Sure, you could still pretend like it's yours, but why would you do that when you can buy a plot of land and build your own house almost exactly how you want it?

You won't have many neighbors, thanks to being just outside of Tarrey Town, but that's alright because you can pick your favorite rooms, connect, and organize them however you so choose. Regardless of what you might consider to be your favorite, you have to admit that some rooms are better options than others.

10 Study The Night Away

Sure, the study isn't a particularly useful room that Link can interact with, but it's more about the thought behind it. Who else would use a study in Tears of the Kingdom but one of Link's researcher friends? Or perhaps, even Zelda.

Whether she would join Link in this house or not is a debate for another day, but the study is an interesting room regardless of its use. As a square room, rather than a rectangle, it can help to develop an interesting build for your house, especially if you use one of the triangle connectors.

9 Foyer, To Welcome Everyone In

Although you might not think so, the Foyer is technically a room you can purchase multiple times. It's one of the first rooms you get (and for free, at that), and unless you like open-air concepts, you should probably consider keeping the Foyer.

It's the first step into your brand new house since Zelda took the last one that you bought in Breath of the Wild, and behind its door, it hides all of your secrets. There probably aren't that many secrets, but at the very least, it gives Link a break from dealing with the outside world.

8 Indoor Stairs, Because Second Levels Are Great

Although you might not think of the Indoor Stairs as a "room," it's one of the best ways to keep your house contained while allowing it not to be too expansive and sprawling. Sure, you have a lot of land you can build on, and everything can be on one floor, but navigating that could prove to be difficult (especially if you're using a lot of connector rooms).

The Indoor Stairs are also nicely furnished, adding an extra layer of homeliness to Link's new abode.

7 Furnished Connector Rooms For Your Friends

Without the connector rooms, whether they're square or triangular, building your house would be akin to a nightmare. Nothing would line up right, and you'd be forced to live in an open-air concept house (exposed to all the elements and monsters that may roam the hills).

If you didn'twant to be exposed to the elements in your own home, you'd be stuck dealing with a maximum of four rooms, and with so many great choices, to stick with four would be a shame. Fortunately, Furnished Connector rooms make Link ready to host his friends in a comfortable environment while allowing him to add on more of your favorite rooms.

6 A Paddock For The Best Horse

Your Paddock probably shouldn't go inside your house, but it is still very much a room for your house. Whether you have a favorite horse or you just want to give your first horse a comfortable place to stay as a thank you for their aid, the Paddock is a lovely way to do that and keep them close by.

Thankfully nothing will ever come to harm your resting horse as long as they're kept safely within their new area. The same can't be said if you abandon them somewhere in the countryside of Hyrule.

The Gallery is a lovely room where you can display a picture of your favorite area in Hyrule. All you have to do is interact with the big empty frame on the wall, and Granteson will put up a picture of your choosing.

Whether you want to do something silly, like display a picture of Link in his Yiga costume next to a Yiga Blademaster, or you want to showcase your favorite area in the game, the Gallery is the best way to do so.

4 Weapon Stand Room For The Prettiest Ones

When you venture throughout Hyrule and complete different side quests and side adventures, you will occasionally earn different weapons that would be a shame to break. While you can technically make copies of some, like the White Sword of the Sky, through the Bargainer statues by exchanging poes for it, being able to put the original on display is nice.

At least here, in your house, your blade will always be safe. And when you're finally ready to confront Ganon in the final fight, you can stop by your house and pick up these special blades.

3 Nap Your Days Away With The Bedroom

Sure, in the late game, you'll probably have so many Rupees you've earned from your adventures that you can afford to sleep in the most expensive beds and with the most expensive plans available. Yet, nothing can replace having a bed of your own that you don't have to share with any other travelers.

Plus, you might as well make your house an all-in-one stop with a Kitchen, Blessing Room, and a Bedroom. While you're visiting, you might as well rest for a while and gain back any hearts you've lost without having to eat a freshly cooked meal.

2 The Blessing Room Is The (Second) Best Room

Trying to locate the Goddess Statues when they're scattered throughout Hyrule can be a bit of a pain. Generally, you can find them in every village, but if you forget where they are, at the very least, you will always know where one is with the Blessing Room so that you can spend your hard-earned Light of Blessing.

Plus, the Blessing Room is simplistic, with the Goddess Statue being the focal point, which makes it a nice break from how busy the other rooms can feel at times.

1 Cook For Everyone In The Kitchen

Finally, Link can stop borrowing everybody else's kitchen or cooking in public. Now, he can cook delicious meals and recipes for himself and his friends in the privacy of his own home without worrying about whether or not it's raining.

Having a kitchen you can always rely on, especially so close to other vital rooms, can help streamline your gameplay and make it feel cozier. A house is hardly a home if it doesn't have a kitchen, and finally, Link can have a forever home.
