Resident Evil 4 Remake is surely a contender for Game of the Year. While the game itself was great, it's a completely different experience playing it for the second time. You're equipped with more weapons and knowledge, making Leon the most dangerous person in the game. Just imagine that first village encounter if you had a fully souped up Riot Gun.

Another charm of a second playthrough for RE4 is that the you can change into some fun outfits amidst all pandemonium. Ashley has her scene kid outfit and Leon has a mobster's suit, among others. However, you need to choose your desired costume at the main menu before starting the game. So, aaronlink decided to create a mod that allows you to change outfits in-game, on the fly.

The mod, which can be found on the Modding Haven Discord server, lets you check out and change costumes via the in-game pause menu (thanks, Exputer). However, the mod appears to have unearthed some cut lines of dialogue. If you check out the video below, you'll see that Ashley or Leon say a line or two when the costumes are changed via the mod.

This was spotted by Snipzuu, who Tweeted, "Thanks to a modder called aaronlink, they found a way to enable the costume menu in game. As it turns out Leon and Ashley will actually talk to each other about their outfit changes! Now I'm even more confused why it's useable currently if it has voice acting scripted for it."

The modder didn't add in new voice lines, and these lines aren't heard in the game. That means they were there in the game's source code, but not in the final version. This suggests that Capcom may have had an option to let you change outfits on the fly, but decided to cut the feature for some reason.

Perhaps it will be coming in a future update, Capcom may have gotten the voice actors to record the lines and kept them hidden in the game till they would be needed. Somehow, the mod got the game to recognise a change of costume, triggering these lines that we would ordinarily not hear.

Speaking about things hidden in the source code, it seems RE4's Separate Ways DLC is imminent. Dataminers found references to the DLC in the game's source code, and one of them even managed to make the option for the DLC pop up on the game's main menu. The DLC follows the story of Resident Evil 4 from the perspective of Ada Wong.

Capcom has not announced the DLC yet, but it seems to be all but confirmed. The DLC reveals more information about Ada and the Resident Evil universe in general.
