How To Complete Kadaunar Shrine: Water Makes A Way

Tears of the Kingdom - Kadanaur Shrine - Using a hydrant to make a lava slab bridge

This shrine will require that you make use of Hydrants, one of the many Zonai devices in this game. If you haven't encountered them before, it serves as a good tutorial as to what they are capable of. Hydrants will, when activated, start spewing water, and this can be used in a few different situations.

To get over the first pool of lava, activate the nearby Hydrant and then pick it up. Walk to the edge of the lava, and you'll find that the water creates lava slabs on the surface that you can walk on. If you hold the Hydrant over your head, you can form a bridge of slabs steadily as you walk forward.

Tears of the Kingdom - Kadanaur Shrine - A brittle stone wall

There is a cracked rock wall ahead blocking your way to the next room, along with a Rusty Claymore. If you don't have any other weapons that destroy rocks, simply pick up the Rusty Claymore and fuse a lava slab to it. This also turns the sword into a wind weapon.

Tears of the Kingdom - Kadanaur Shrine - Bridge of lava slabs up to the chest

Before you progress to the next room, turn around to face the wall opposite the door to find a small lava pool, a ledge, and a chest. To get up to the ledge, you'll need to create a ramp of lava slabs, attached end to end, to form a slope long enough to walk up when placed against it. Three lava slabs in a row are long enough to reach the chest.

In the next room, you'll have to use a similar method to get to the shrine exit. Activate a Hydrant and place it so that it's constantly creating lava slabs. Use these lava slabs to create a bridge that is six slabs long. This will be long enough to bridge over the lava river toward the exit.
