In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link must journey to the four corners of the world to help the people of Hyrule deal with various environmental disasters. Gerudo Town, which is plagued by a permanent sand shroud, lies in the southwestern corner of the land.

Located on top of Gerudo Town's palace is Soryotanog Shrine, which serves as a very useful fast travel point. Not only that, but there's a fascinating puzzle inside that has you blowing away piles of sand, reflecting lights to power up receptors, and even doing a little bit of fighting.

How To Complete Soryotanog Shrine: Buried Light

Tears of the Kingdom - Soryotanog Shrine - Launching the Fan out of the Dune

When you enter Soryotanog Shrine, you'll be in a room with four piles of sand, one of which has a Fan poking out of the top. Use Ultrahand to retrieve the Fan from the sand dune and then activate it.

Using Ultrahand to move it, use the Fan to blow away each pile of sand. One of the sand dunes conceals a chest that contains a Small Key. Use this to open the door and proceed to the next area.

You'll be confronted with a Construct here. Defeat it, and then bring the Fan from the previous area to this one and use it to blow away the sand dunes. There's one in the centre of the room concealing a Mirror, and one in the corner, that conceals a secret passageway.

Crawl through the secret passage and pick out the Fan from the sand dune. Use this to blow away all the rest of the sand here, and defeat the concealed enemy, who is holding a Fan Guster - basically a stick with a Fan Fused to it.

Place the Fan adjacent to the wall opposite the passage and use the updraft to reach the next level. Use the Fan Guster you just picked up to remove the sand from the gear, and you'll reveal a treasure chest. It contains ten Arrows.

Tears of the Kingdom - Soryotanog Shrine - Ascending through the floor

Return to the main area, and now move beneath the ledge to the left of the shrine's exit. Use Ascend to rise through the ledge and access the next area. Shoot the enemy Construct from this tall ledge before dropping down to make things easier for yourself.

In this new area, use the nearby Fan to blow away the sand, revealing a light beam and a Mirror. Bring the Mirror up to the platform above the light, and use it to reflect the light beam into the main area. That is to say, not into the shrine's exit.

Return to the main area and use the Mirror you revealed there to reflect the light beam to the receptor above the door. This will unlock the shrine's exit.
