The vast majority of Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have you enter the Shrine first before they start trying to test your observational skills. But there are a few Shrines with zero puzzles or challenges within them, as the challenge is finding it in the first place.

Hateno Village's Mayahisik Shrine is a perfect example of this, as this Shrine is well hidden and merely rewards you for finding it. Fortunately, locating and reaching the Mayahisik Shrine isn't too grueling, especially when you know what to expect and where to go!

Mayahisik Shrine (Rauru's Blessing) Location Walkthrough

Before you can get to the Mayahisik Shrine, you must first make your way to Hateno Village, which is found within the Mount Lanayru region. Once you've reached this area, we strongly recommend activating the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to have the entire region mapped out for you.

After you've done all that, ensure you have a weapon that can easily punch through rocks and other minerals. Something heavy, blunt, and powerful should do the trick, so attaching a Boulder or a Large Stone Slab to a weapon will likely be enough for this.

Mayahisik Shrine Cave Entrance Location

The Mayahisik Shrine is located in a cave beneath the Hateno Secret Lab Tech building found on the hillside just north of the village. If you've played Breath of the Wild, this was where Purah resided and will be easily recognizable to you.

For everyone else, keep an eye out for an isolated house with a tall tower that overlooks Hateno Village. Once you have discovered it, look for a drop-off to the right of the winding pathway that leads to it. There will be trees and large rocks here.

Entering The Retsam Forest Cave

Head past the trees and toward the rocks on the side of the cliff. You should see rocks that look out of place and are clearly smashable (they will have cracks on them). Using a blunt, heavy, and powerful weapon, smack the rocks with it until you burst through them.

Once you're inside, a hole will lead down into the Retsam Forest Cave. Jump down the hole and into the Cave. After you land, turn around to see the glow of the Mayahisik Shrine. Follow the pathway that leads to it and enter it!

Mayahisik Shrine Rewards

Upon entering the Mayahisik Shrine, you will be greeted with the Shrine's Treasure Chest, which contains a Magic Scepter with an Attack Potency of Seven. However, with Magic Scepters and Rods, the damage primarily comes from the Crystal you attach to it and its Elemental Power.

After acquiring the Magic Scepter, continue going forward to receive your Light of Blessing to complete the Mayahisik Shrine!

Please note that there's more stuff to find within this Cave beside the Shrine, so we encourage you to explore it fully before bouncing!
