You’ve got plenty of options when it comes to armor sets in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, many of them offering unique powers specific to the region in which you find them. Such is true about the Frostbite Armor set, which you’ll find scattered throughout the Hebra Mountains. It’s no simple feat to find them, but the set allows Link to do extra damage in cold weather.

The caves the gear is in, though, are quite hard to find. We tracked down the Frostbite Shirt, Frostbite Trousers, and Frostbite Helm locations, so you won’t have to hunt!

This guide contains spoilers for large sections of the overworld map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where To Find The Frostbite Shirt

The first piece of the Frostbite Armor Set you're likely to find will be the Frostbite Shirt, as it's pretty central to where you'll be exploring by the Lucky Clover Gazette.

The fastest way to where you'll need to be is to warp to Oromuwak Shrine and then jump off from there toward the northernmost of the two paths that lead you East from the Lucky Clover Gazette.

Follow the path Eastward until you see a cave with two people outside, on the South side of this path.

Head past the sisters and into the cave, where you'll need to contend with a Blue Horriblin first, and then a Like Like second. Defeat them before following the cave path to the end.

When you reach the treasure, you'll be obscured by vines covering the nook it's in. Burn the vines away using a Fire Fruit or Fire Chu Chu Jelly, and collect the chest for your Frostbite Shirt.

Where To Find The Frostbite Trousers

The Frostbite Trousers can be found in a cave at the northern tip of Hebra Headspring, which is directly North of Hebra Plunge. If you follow Hebra Headspring to its Northernmost mouth, you'll find the extremely icy cave.

Getting through the cave is much tougher than finding it, though, as most of the climbable surface is covered in ice, and the temperature in the cave means you'll freeze instantly if you hit the water.

To get into the cave, hold the rocks on the wall of the cave and rock climb over the water until you've reached a small land platform inside.

While Link can't climb ice, he is able to hold onto it for a second, which is pivotal to navigating this cave. The pillars jutting from the frozen river are normal rock on top, meaning you'll be able to grab the top of these pillars after a split second of ice-jumping.

Jump while you're holding on to leap upwards. Then, do the same to jump to the further pillar.

At first, the two Ice Keese here seem like little more than a nuisance, but they're your ticket to getting the Frostbite Trousers. When you kill the Ice Keese, you'll notice that they form ice platforms in the water when they hit it. You should end up with six platforms.

If you don't get any platforms from the Keese for some reason, drop a Splashfruit or Ice Berry into the water for the same platform creation - the Keese are a freebie to let you save your own materials for later.

From here, paraglide to the small bit of land just under the room with the treasure, and use Ultrahand to fuse the ice platforms together to make yourself an ice bridge, then rotate your bridge so that it allows you to walk over the ice to the rock wall on the far side of the cave.

Once you're holding the rock wall, you'll just have to jump over a bit of ice to grab the rock directly beneath the opening of the nook that contains the Frostbite Trousers and finish the climb up there for your reward.

Where To Find The Frostbite Headdress

The cave that contains the Frostbite Headdress is quite a ways off the beaten path, meaning you'll need to do a fair bit of frigid mountain climbing to get here.

This is easiest to navigate if you do it with Tulin. He'll give you a boost as you paraglide, so long as you've at least activated "Tulin of Rito Village," the beginning of the main Rito story quest.

It's still doable if you haven't, but you'll have much more climbing and gliding to do on your own.

You're looking for Lake Kilsie Cave to grab the final piece of the Frostbite Armor Set, which is at the Northernmost point of Lake Kilsie to the West of Hebra Mountain. The easiest route here is to launch from Rospro Pass Skyview Tower and orient yourself toward the Northeast as you paraglide down.

Once you get to the North part of Lake Kilsie, look for the Keese that emerge from the cave to help you find the opening amid the weather, if you've not yet cleared the blizzard over Rito Village.

Once you've got the cave entrance in sight, paraglide over and navigate to the opening of the cave.

Head inside after taking out the Blue Horriblin at the entrance. The cave itself is a wind tunnel, and you'll notice several smaller nooks throughout the vertical cavern that are marked with hanging icicles at the entrance to help you find them easier.

The easiest way to get to the one you need is to float to the top of the cavern (handling the Bubblfrog here if you're looking for Bubbl Gems), and carefully floating downward through the cavern. Plenty of the openings will be covered by breakable rocks, so be sure to have a hammer or some Bomb Flowers with you.

The nook with the Frostbite Headdress is second-highest from the top, so navigate your way through the wind tunnel to there, pop open the chest, and complete your Frostbite Armor Set with the Frostbite Headdress.

Before you put on the set, though, beware that the Frostbite Armor does not offer cold resistance, meaning you'll need to have some cold-resistant food or elixirs in order to wear the armor around the region you find it.
