The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is filled with different armor sets for you to scour Hyrule for - useful sets with helpful special effects attached, stylish pieces that allow Link to customize his look, and referential sets that hearken to the older games in the series.

The Fierce Deity armor set is an example of that last category, serving as a reference to Majora's Mask. Acquiring this armor set will require searching all over Hyrule, completing some short quests and hunting for those precious treasure chests that contain these highly-important relics of the past.

The quest to find these pieces is began by heading to Cephla Lake Cave, which is a little northwest of Zora's Domain, on the edge of Cephla Lake.

Head inside and find the chest containing the Ember Trousers (feed the dog outside four times to get it to lead you to the right chest) and you'll be provided with the quest via a message in a bottle.

How To Get The Fierce Deity Armor

Tears of the Kingdom - Akkala Citadel Ruins

The Fierce Deity Armor is located in the Akkala Citadel Ruins, which lies directly east from Cephla Lake and north of Zora's Domain. Domizuin Shrine is nearby, so use that as a fast travel point if you have it activated already.

Explore the ruins, being careful to avoid or defeat the swarm of Gloom Hands roaming the place, until you find a small hole in a wall that you can crouch through. This is located at the opposite end of the red-carpeted corridor that has a lit lantern.

Head through the hole and drop down into the pit in the next room. You'll find the chest containing the Fierce Deity Armor. The coordinates are 3299, 1492, 0395.

There are two crates in this room - behind them is a hole you can crawl through to find this cave's Bubbul Frog.

How To Get The Fierce Deity Mask

Tears of the Kingdom - Skull Cave on the map

The Fierce Deity Mask is located in Skull Lake, which is the appropriately skull-shaped lake north of Death Mountain, which you'll find to the north of Hyrule.

The note in the bottle from Lake Cephla Cave mentioned that a piece of the armor set is found in the left eye - on the map, this is the right-hand eye of the skull, meaning you have to explore the massive tower, not dive through the chasm to the depths in the lake.

Tears of the Kingdom - Gliding to the Skull Lake Cave

To reach the top of the tower, either glide from the heights of Death Mountain (which should be easily accessible if you've completed the main story events at Goron City) or head to the shrine to the east of the lake, Kamatukis Shrine, and then climb the mountain nearby.

You can use a Rocket fused to a shield near the Hudson Construction sign here to easily gain the last bit of height to glide over to the tower.

Tears of the Kingdom - Gliding down into Skull Lake Cave

Dive down the hole in the center of the tower all the way to the bottom to reach Skull Lake Cave. Proceed through this cave, killing the Stalkoblins and Stalmoblin on the way and destroying the destructible walls.

Eventually, you'll reach a fight against a Stalnox. This shouldn't be too tough, just be sure to aim attacks at its weak spot - the eye - and pound away at the eye with melee weapons when it falls out of the Stalnox's head.

Tears of the Kingdom - Chest in Skull Lake Cave

In this area, you'll find a large mound with a tent on top. Inside this tent is the chest that contains the Fierce Deity Mask. Also in this area is a wall of blue rocks; you can destroy these to find a small room with this cave's Bubbul Frog.

How To Get The Fierce Deity Boots

Tears of the Kingdom - Ancient Tree Stump

The Fierce Deity Boots are located in the Ancient Tree Stump, which is yet another cave. This is the easiest cave of the three to access, being located in the middle of a lake on Mount Daphnes, which is located on the west side of Hyrule Field.

Dive down into the tree stump to find a cave filled with large roots. Head to the bottom of the cave and swim to the south side to find a wall of roots. Slash through, and progress deeper into the cave.

Tears of the Kingdom - Climbing in the ancient tree stump

When you reach the small pond in the next room, Ascend up to the next level and then keep climbing up the walls. Eventually, you'll reach another room with a wall of roots to slash through, behind which is the chest containing the Fierce Deity Boots.

How To Get The Fierce Deity Sword

Tears of the Kingdom - Obtaining the Fierce Deity Sword

Once you have all three pieces of the Fierce Deity armor set, return to Cephla Lake Cave. When you enter the room, if you have all three pieces equipped, a door will open, revealing a chest.

Open the chest to get the Fierce Deity Sword, which is a very powerful sword that matches the aesthetic of the armor set.
