Link can get some truly stylish new threads in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, whether he buys them or finds them, but sometimes, you simply cannot beat the classics. The Barbarian Armor set has a wonderful 'aggressive' vibe that accentuates Link's more macho aspects, and it improves his attack power naturally to boot!

The majority of Link's returning armor sets must be found piece by piece in this game, and the majority are found in the various caves scattered across Hyrule. If you're looking for Barbarian Armor set pieces, you'll find instructions on finding them below.

Where To Get The Barbarian Armor

Tears of the Kingdom - Crenel Hills Map

You'll find the Barbarian Armor in Crenel Hills Cave, which is found on the west side of Crenel Hills, to the east of Hyrule Castle. You'll be able to spot it easily by the large cluster of Luminous Stones near the entrance.

Tears of the Kingdom - Crenel Hill Cave

There are some rocks at the entrance - fuse together a few rock-breaking weapons with one. There are tons of breakable rocks in this cave and a fight that benefits from such weapons.

Tears of the Kingdom - Crenel Hills Cave main room

This is a short cave. When you enter, you'll be confronted with a very large room, with lots of mining rocks around. In the center, there will be a puddle with some rocks sticking out in the middle - this is a Stone Talus.

You don't have to fight it here, but it's worth fighting for the amount of Luminous Stones it drops.

An easy way to deal with Taluses is to use Ascend while directly underneath them. This allows you to zip right up to its back, where you can strike at its weak spot really easily.

Otherwise, snipe its weak spot with arrows from afar and rush in to attack it while it's stunned.

After dealing with or ignoring the Talus, head to the east wall of the large cave. You should be able to see a large cluster of breakable rocks about halfway up - they don't reach the ground. There's a Bomb Flower nearby; use it to destroy the rocks.

This will reveal an adjoining room. Climb up the wall and enter it to find the chest containing the Barbarian Armor.

Where To Get The Barbarian Leg Wraps

Tears of the Kingdom - Walnot Mountain Cave Map

The Barbarian Leg Wraps are found inside Walnot Mountain Cave, which you'll be able to glide to from the hill east of Hateno Village. Look for the waterfall - it's directly to the right of the bottom.

After entering the cave, you'll be faced with a large pack of Horriblins. These can be tricky to take down if you don't have lots of Arrows, so make sure you're stocked up before heading in.

To deal with the Horriblins, get a critical hit by shooting them in the face, and then move in to strike them while they're down.

Tears of the Kingdom - A Horriblin Stash

The Horriblins have a ledge full of goodies attached to the left-hand wall, be sure to sweep these up. The chest here contains a Soldier's-Spear Halberd.

Continue on through the cave after dealing with the Horriblins until you reach an Ice Like opposite a large block of ice. To beat the Ice Like, wait until it reveals its weak spot inside its mouth, and shoot at it. This will stun the creature, allowing you to get many potshots in.

Be wary of the ice breath the Ice Like breathes, it will freeze you.

Upon defeating the Ice Like, it will drop a chest containing a Knight's Shield.

Tears of the Kingdom - Melting the Barbarian Leg Wraps chest

Look past where the Ice Like was, and you'll see a small shrine. Inside the shrine is a large ice block - you'll need to melt this using fire to acquire the chest inside, which contains the Barbarian Leg Wraps.

There are multiple ways to produce fire in Tears of the Kingdom - Zonai Flame Emitters are good, as are Fire Flowers fused to arrows.

Be careful melting the other ice blocks in this cave, they can contain high-level monsters. You'll also find this cave's Bubbulfrog on the lower level of the cave, just check the walls.

Where To Get The Barbarian Helm

Tears of the Kingdom - Robred Dropoff Cave Map

The cave holding the Barbarian Helm is Robred Dropoff Cave. This is found to the east of Kakariko Village, a little bit northwest of the Robred Dropoff sign on the map.

It's an indistinct cave, but you'll know you're in the right place as there's a slab at the entrance providing a clue as to the treasure's location within.

The first room you'll come to in the cave has a set of three statues in it and multiple ways forward. To progress, head down the pathway that the statues are facing - this will bring you to a ledge that you should drop down, and a second room with statues inside.

In this room, all but three of the statues are facing the center of the room. The three that aren't are facing a breakable wall of rocks. Break through this wall with Bomb Flowers or a rock-breaker weapon.

Tears of the Kingdom - Robred Dropoff Cave - A horde of enemies

Follow the path down to the next room, which contains a Boss Bokoblin and a handful of regular Bokoblins. Deal with this horde of monsters however you like. Bomb Flowers work really well, as the enemies will all be clustered together.

You'll be able to see the chest that contains the Barbarian Helm through a grate in the wall that has two statues facing it. To get there, you'll first need to destroy the breakable rocks in the center of the room. You can use a Bomb Flower for this, or one of the handy explosive barrels nearby.

Jump down the hole and follow the path down to a large room with three platforms. Each platform has a number of statues next to it - get on top of the platform that has three statues next to it and use Ascend. You'll pop out in the small room with the chest that contains the Barbarian Helm.

Use Ascend once more in this room, and you'll be in a room with this cave's Bubbulfrog.
