However, they can’t remember exactly where the place is. They give you a hint as to its location, but they will need a photo to remember it fully and visit it again for themselves. Here’s where you can find the place they’re thinking of and complete the Moon-Gazing Gorons side quest.

After completing the Yunobo Of Goron City main quest, head to the inn in Goron City. Speak to the two elderly Gorons standing outside, named Volcon and Tray.

They’ll tell you about a place they used to visit in their youth where you could see the full moon shining on the ground at midday. However, they can’t remember the exact location, only that it’s found at Lake Ferona.

To help them remember, you can take a photo of the full moon shining on the ground.

The only clue Volcon and Tray give you is that the location is at Lake Ferona in Eldin Canyon, so head there.

The lake is south of Death Mountain. Go to the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower, and the lake is directly east from there.

Head to the west side of the lake — it’s the closest side to you if you came from the Tower.

Look to the side of the lake that’s closest to Death Mountain. You should see two cave entrances on the side of the mountain.

Head through the one at the bottom and walk through until you reach the edge of a platform.

To be able to see the moon shining through the entrance above you, the in-game clock needs to be at midday.

If it’s not the correct time, make a fire by dropping a bundle of wood and a piece of flint, then striking the flint. Sit by the fire until Noon.

As soon as it’s the right time, a circle of moonlight will appear in front of you. Take out your camera and snap a picture of it.

You’ll know the photo has registered for the quest because of the red exclamation point (!) that appears on it.

Now, head back to Volcon and Tray in Goron City. Talk to them and Link will show them the picture. As a reward, they’ll give you 100 rupees.
