MTG Arena has already confirmed Secret Lair crossovers with Final Fantasy and Assassin's Creed, but it has sent out a new survey asking fans what other games they play, potentially gauging interest for more crossovers.

The survey asks, "Which of the following video games have you ever played? Which do you play currently?" It lists the aforementioned Asssassin's Creed and Final Fantasy, but also Elden Ring, Civilization, Fortnite, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, Marvel Snap, Pokemon, Teamfight Tactics, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

Fortnite, which has already had a crossover, and the other card games make sense for a survey like this given they occupy a similar space, being direct competitors in the trading card game markets respectively. However, Elden Ring and Civilization are outliers as they are from completely different genres, similar to AC and FF. To top it off, previous surveys have hinted to then-future releases like Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, so there's a precedent already.

MTG Arena survey asking fans what other games they play, listing Assassin's Creed, Civilization, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy, Fortnite, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, Marvel Snap, Pokemon, Teamfight Tactics, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

The Final Fantasy and Assassin's Creed crossovers were revealed during Hasbro's Investor Day presentation, marking FF's 35th anniversary and AC's 15th, though no details were shared other than that the two would be getting Magic-themed sets similar to The Walking Dead, Warhammer 40,000, The Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, and Stranger Things.

Given that there are already a few crossovers underway, anything that comes from this survey is likely a long way off, so don't get your hopes up for Malenia and Radahn cards anytime soon - if Elden Ring and MTG Arena do cross over, it'll likely be next year at the earliest. All we can do right now is speculate.

The rest of the survey is fairly standard - when did you last play MTG Arena, what do you play it on, and how likely are you to recommend it to a friend, but it also asks what other tabletop games you've played. There's the aforementioned Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon, but also Warhammer 40,000 and Dungeons & Dragons, the latter being another Wizards of the Coast property. All of which makes this question about other games stick out like a sore thumb.

While it might be a while before we see any official crossovers with Elden Ring and Civilization - if that is indeed what this survey is alluding to - there are fan-made cards that imagine what it would be like if The Lands Between and the Planes of the Magic Multiverse collided.

u/kerosene88 shared six custom Elden Ring MTG cards featuring Gideon Ofnir, Rennala, Starscourge Radahn, the Tree Sentinel, and the Tibia Mariner. Each has abilities tied to their in-game ones, such as Rennala's use of Juvenile Scholars giving her a shield. They're surprisingly balanced, if a little strong for Commander, and the closest we have to a first look at what a crossover between the two might look like. As for Civilization, I'll leave that to your imagination.
