Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey aims to answer one of the greatest mysteries that humanity faces: Where did we come from? Religion and science aim to give a clear answer to that question, but there's still no way to have a firsthand account of what our early ancestors went through and how they made discoveries.

Updated on May 14, 2023, by Axel Bosso: It seems like players are still looking for ways to stop this type of injury. Your Hominid deserves better, and it can be quite anyone dealing with this status if you don't know how to find a solution. That's why we have updated this article, keeping it fresh. Using this guide, you'll learn how to stop bleeding in Ancestors.

What Is Bleeding?

Hominid Defends Against A Predator

As the name implies, your Hominid is inflicted with a serious injury that causes them to bleed and take damage over time. If you're attacked by an enemy with claws or talons, you'll start Bleeding which will get worse over time. Without access to modern medicine, Bleeding can prove to be fatal. It's best to treat it quickly as the damage Bleeding does can significantly lower your Life Expectancy.

How To Cure Bleeding

When you're hit with the Bleeding ailment, you'll get a prompt alerting you of its severity and a recommendation to use "items with clotting properties." Since you're living in the prehistoric wild, you'll need to be resourceful and creative to find such things and apply them effectively to your injury.

To cure your Bleeding, you'll need to find one of the following: Aloe Sap, Honey, Horsetail Leaves, Kapok Fiber, or Mud. Both Aloe Sap and Horsetail Leaves can be ground into Paste to add to your discoveries while still serving as an effective medicine. They can be obtained by stripping them from the appropriate sources.

These are the easiest medicines to find due to how abundantly they grow with Horsetail being the most common.

Following those, Mud is also quite abundant and can be collected right from the ground. Look for patches scattered around the biomes and avoid going to dry areas to keep your supplies abundant.

This is a good choice if you're out in the wild while Bleeding since Mud can help prevent detection from predators.

Honey and Kapok Fiber are the hardest to get and shouldn't be relied on for consistent treatment. You'll have to find and risk dealing with Beehives to get Honey, which can worsen your injuries. On the other hand, Kapok Fiber is found up high in the trees which can expose you to the Bateleur Eagle as well as being a dangerous climb.

Consider these options only as a last resort, but keep in mind that all of these medicines can be applied preemptively to protect you from being afflicted with Bleeding.
