You might have been distracted by Peter Parker's new symbiote suit, but it turns out that both Miles Morales and Black Cat have brand-new costumes in Spider-Man 2.

By far the biggest game shown at last night's PlayStation Showcase was Spider-Man 2, which received more than 10 minutes of gameplay footage that confirmed lots of new features, like the return of Queens, the addition of a wingsuit, and, of course, Peter Parker getting the symbiote suit. That symbiote suit stole the show, as you'd expect, but it wasn't the only new costume on display in the footage.

As it turns out, both Miles Morales and Black Cat have new outfits, which can be seen at different points in the gameplay demo. Let's start out with Miles, since his new costume is the one you get to see plenty of. Like Peter's new variant of the Advanced Suit, Miles is very similar to the one that we saw in the last game, only it's seen some design changes.

A comparison of Miles' new suit in Spider-Man 2.

The main difference is that Miles' new suit has red that runs all the way down his arms, instead of stopping at the top of his shoulder blades. This red also goes all the way down to his fists now, which makes his hands almost look like MMA fighting gloves. It also removes some of the random black colour gradients along the arm and seems to stick to just one darker shade throughout the whole costume.

Since the changes to Miles' suit are so subtle, it's been difficult to gauge how Spider-Man fans feel about Miles' new suit, but one early reaction from Twitter user _VYGRR isn't exactly positive, calling it "one of the biggest downgrades of all time" for the randomly drawn-out red and the new gloves. That might be a bit of an overreaction for what's essentially the same suit, but the gloves are a little combat armour-y compared to the last game.

Then there's Black Cat, who shows up for maybe two seconds in the gameplay footage via a headshot that appears on a New York City map that Kraven is looking at on a tablet. Those two seconds were apparently enough for Twitter user and clear Black Cat superfan silverxsable to notice that Felicia Hardy has a new outfit this time around.

It's tough to make out from just a headshot, but it looks like her not outfit has her wearing black and white this time around, instead of the black and silver look that she had in the original game. We've only seen the top half, but I'm already more into the white and black standing out a bit more this time around.
