While Fallen Order had us take the role of adolescent Cal Kestis, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor skips ahead a few years and gives us a more refined version of the character. And with refinement, comes customization options.

In this sequel, you can find, unlock, and equip various customizations for Cal, his gear, and for BD-1. Included is a plethora of hair options, with various hairstyles and beards to choose from. But which ones are the best in the galaxy?

10 Shaven (Clean)

Cal Kestis with a clean shaven style

Sometimes the classic is a classic for a reason, but that doesn't mean it can't be beaten. The fully clean-shaven look is what we're all familiar with from Cal's journey in Fallen Order, but years later in the events of Survivor, it doesn't quite match his more rugged, experienced demeanor.

While he was clinging onto those teenage years, he's now a wisened Jedi in his 20s, and is more befitting to have at least a shadow on that baby face of his. Surviving out there is tough, and the Empire will give you little time to whip out that shaving blade.

9 Bun

This Cal looks like he is the CEO of whatever Google is in a galaxy far, far away - office workouts, alien-milk coffee, and a few meetings here and there while you stay hip and trendy. That said, it's not entirely a bad look for him.

Similar to how it might be tough to get a clean shave while running from the Empire, sometimes getting a haircut could be a little difficult at all. It wouldn't be unusual for Cal to tie his hair up just to get it out of the way, and if you're going for that unkempt style, then this is perfect.

8 Mullet

Perhaps not the most common or popular style to be seen in most media, but you know what - Cal pulls off the mullet pretty well. If you want to stretch and go for something a little different, then this option is one of the best.

It's likely you'll want to pair the mullet with a beard, goatee, or maybe a little mustache, as this can really bring the whole look together. That said, the mullet isn't for everyone, but there's no denying the glamor.

7 Scrapper

Cal Kestis with the scrapper hairstyle (and he blinked)

Cal's original hair from Fallen Order is still a top pick, and one that we know suits him well. If you just prefer his look from the first game, or you want something not too short and not too long, then this inconspicuous style will blend in well in any system out there.

Pair it with the clean-shaven facial hair and the old-school poncho, and you have yourself a version 1.0 Cal Kestis right there. He can still look as youthful as ever, but don't let that fool you - he is more dangerous than he has ever been.

6 Survivor

Out with the old and in with the new - the Survivor hairstyle is Cal's new default, and it's much tidier and refined than the Scrapper look. While it may not be the biggest jump, it's a noticeable one, and is a great way to see the newer Cal Kestis in Jedi: Survivor.

What's even better is that this hair works well with pretty much any facial hair option in the game, meaning you don't have to worry about things looking a little strange. Go for a handlebar mustache, or go for a bushy beard - either way, this hair can remain.

5 Shaven (Stubble)

Cal Kestis with the stubble style

An alternate version of the Shaven style, and Cal's default facial hair in Jedi: Survivor, this option see's him with just a little bit of stubble on his face. Given the years that have passed and how he's been busy fighting for freedom, it makes sense that he'd have a little facial hair going on.

It's like seeing the boy we know from the first game all grown up, and takes the character progression to a new step with who Cal is now. Whether you grow it into a different style or chop it all off again, it's a refreshing way to be reintroduced to the character we love, and works with any of the hairstyles you may want to pick.

4 Mustache

Not everyone can pull off a mustache, and while Cal does it well, Cal with a blaster does it even better. Take your version of the Jedi from rugged to stylish as he jumps, flips, and shoots his way through the galaxy's most dangerous enemies.

What's even better is that the mustache works with so many other hairstyles, and while there is a light mustache and a handlebar mustache, the simplest is sometimes the best. That lightsaber may be able to cut through damn near anything, but it's still not as sharp as the mustache.

3 Choppy Forward

While often referred to as the Nathan Drake of the Star Wars universe, the choppy forward hairstyle will support this claim. Paired with the stubble, you have yourself a red-headed Nate with a laser sword.

This style cuts down and cleans up the default Survivor style a little, and makes it look a little messier than the well-kept original. It's easily one of the best hairstyle options for Cal, and seems to be a popular choice amongst players.

2 Full Beard

Cal Kestis with a full beard

Who'd have thought that the teenage Jedi padawan from Fallen Order could become a bearded Jedi Knight in just a few years. While having a beard is certainly not a part of becoming a Jedi Knight, it's still a style we're glad to see bestowed to Cal in Jedi: Survivor.

It's a standard, bushy beard - with only a bit missing where his scar runs on his face - and it's definitely one of the best looks for Cal in the sequel. As he carries himself a little differently in the years that have passed, so should he carry himself with a beard. It's the rules.

1 Windswept

While all of these styles and options will come down to personal preference, and everyone will have their own Cal Kestis to show off, the windswept hairstyle is factually the best hairstyle option in the game and it cannot be argued.

Okay, that's probably not entirely true, but there's no denying this style for Cal. Paired with either a full beard or a mustache, you can go hopping around every planet as those luscious locks whip around in the breeze - what's not to love?
