Fans of Breath of the Wild know the seemingly never-ending number of Koroks that have hidden themselves in Hyrule. Well, there were 900 of them, but it sure seemed endless. In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they are back at it again, hiding away, getting lost, or needing your help with some puzzling situations.

As you adventure through this newly torn-up Hyrule, you'll probably come across a large number of these little forest spirits naturally. However, even if you've been exploring quite a bit, many of them can slip under your radar. If you want as many Korok Seeds as possible to give to Hestu, then these are the best practices to keep in mind.

8 Look For Things You Don't Recognize

When you first start exploring in Tears of the Kingdom, you'll soon realize that this new land is absolutely packed full of things, old and new. There will be a lot that you're unsure of, and most of the time you'll have to check things out for the first time, timidly investigating to see if it's something you can use or if it's something that's going to try to kill you.

However, keeping an eye out for the unusual is the first practice you'll want to stick with. Whether you're five hours into Tears of the Kingdom, or you're 50 hours in, you'll probably still come across something that you've not seen yet. An odd structure; a bizarre flower; maybe a conveniently placed rock formation - odds are, there's probably a Korok hiding around there somewhere. This leads us to the next point...

7 Anything Out Of Place Is Most Likely A Korok

Perhaps you've found a large white dandelion atop a rock, or a little pinwheel in a swamp, or maybe it's a wooden plug in an otherwise seemingly normal tree stump. Could just be you've stumbled across some unusual anomaly in the wild? No, it's almost certainly a Korok.

A lot of the time, you could even find something strange, not know immediately what you're supposed to do with it, and move on. However, investigating the things that look out of place and trying a few ways to interact with or manipulate it is going to be key to finding all of those tricky Koroks in the world. Hit it with a sword, use a Zonai power or a device on it, or look around the surrounding environment. There'll be something to clue you in.

6 Always Check Just Off The Path

While you will usually be able to see dead giveaways while riding along on your horse headed to your next destination, this is going to prove ineffective in the long run. To start amassing an abundance of Korok Seeds, you'll want to deviate from the path every now and then.

It could be you pass a little forest, see a pond up on a hill, or are passing by a large cliff face. Hold your horses and go looking around the area a little - chances are, there will be multiple Koroks around your environment at all times, so look around the trees, check the pond surroundings, and scale the cliffs by whatever means necessary. Getting into this habit as you travel the roads of the kingdom is a great way to start collecting those Seeds.

5 Put Stamps On Your Map

Following on from the previous point, something that can be an excellent method for Korok-finding is using the stamps on the Purah Pad's map. The game gives you 300 of the things to place down, so get to putting them down in abundance.

Once you've unlocked a region of the map with a Skyview Tower, take the time to look around and spot any strange or intriguing-looking formations, marking them with a little icon of your choosing. Better yet, these markers are visible on the minimap, so you can easily see if you're passing by something that you marked down to check at a later date.

4 Check Under Bridges And On Small Islands

After a while of checking off the beaten path and using the map to your advantage, you'll start to notice some patterns in how these Koroks like to hide, and as such will become more and more vigilant as to where they are. However, some will continue to elude you.

There are a lot of bodies of water in Hyrule, and in turn, a lot of bridges. Koroks will probably be hiding underneath the bridges, in a hidden cave downstream, or even on a minuscule island that looks entirely unimportant. They're always hiding in plain sight, after all.

3 Any Tall Structure? Climb It

Breath of the Wild was already a very vertical game, but Tears of the Kingdom went and made everything even more so. Koroks seem to have absolutely zero chance of vertigo, so unluckily for Link's stamina wheel, this means a lot of looking skyward.

If you see a ruined stone pillar, climb up it. A flag pole? Climb it. The tallest building in a town? Climb it. The Dueling Peaks mountain? Get that climbing gear on. That floating island barely visible through the clouds? Yeah, there's probably a Korok there too.

2 Listen Out For Cries

This one sounds a lot creepier than it actually is. While your travels assuredly take you from stable to stable, town to town, you'll come across some Koroks in need of assistance. Having lost their friends, you'll need to help them reunite.

More often than not, these will be hard to miss, as there will be a Korok with a huge backpack flailing about on the ground. However, sometimes they're more difficult to see, and that's when listening out can come in handy. Koroks sound pretty cute as it is, so hearing one in need, you just can't miss that.

1 Activate Ultrahand Every So Often While Exploring

Finally, this tip can be a bit of a strange one to remember, but if you're out there exploring the wilds, then it'll come in handy more often than not. By activating Ultrahand, Link will prepare to use it, and his range of visibility will increase drastically.

When active, all moveable objects will highlight orange, including rocks, slabs, and even the Koroks with backpacks themselves. There's a lot that can be moved around in the world as it is, but still, this will potentially highlight things to you that you otherwise might miss. It won't show you where every type of Korok is, but it can certainly speed up the process for many of them.
