Kirby's ability to gobble an enemy up and copy their ability has been the primary attraction for most fans of the series since Kirby's Adventure in 1993, with the enemies and skills learned from them getting much weirder and fun to use with almost every installment since. It's this very reason why we were shocked that Copy Abilities almost didn't make it into Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Fortunately, Copy Abilities have returned in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and they're just as fun to use as ever before. There are many ways to approach each level in this game, thanks to the many Copy Abilities at Kirby's disposal. However, as with most things, some are just much better and more satisfying to use than others.

10 Time Crash

Time Crash in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Kirby temporarily freezes time and space around him with Time Crash, allowing him to run into enemies for easy and uncontested kills. The only downside of this Copy Ability is it only has one use, so you must make it count.

Still, even with its severely limited uses, Time Crash is amongst the strongest Copy Abilities in the game and easily one of the more broken ones. While you will realistically only use this in specific situations, there's no denying its power.

9 Buzz-Saw Cutter

Buzz-Saw Cutter in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

The Buzz-Saw Cutter shines in small rooms and encounters that have several enemies. While it has a significantly slower rate of fire than its predecessors, its damage is off the charts, and it can ricochet off surfaces, allowing you to pick off enemies in creative ways.

In addition to the upgraded power, the Buzz-Saw Cutter also reaches much further than the other saws, making it one of the best Copy Abilities for a wide range of scenarios. This is a satisfying and unique weapon that also happens to be extremely good, so you shouldn't hesitate to check it out.

8 Storm Tornado

Storm Tornado in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

While technically a more potent version of the standard Tornado Copy Ability, the Storm Tornado offers much more than that once you experiment with it more. Not only does it deal significantly more damage, but it also sends out a devastating lighting strike whenever you release enemies from the deadly pull of your vortex.

The Storm Tornado also has the added bonus of incorporating everything the previous versions had. You can soar over gaps and spikes and pull in multiple enemies to make quick work of a crowd. This Copy Ability is sure to wind anyone that experiments with it.

7 Crystal Needle

Crystal Needle in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

With the Crystal Needle Copy Ability, Kirby will leave shards of crystals behind him as he rolls, damaging enemies that make direct contact with them. Additionally, after Kirby springs up and out of his roll, he will launch Crystal Needles in front of him, dealing excessive damage to anything on the receiving end.

Not only can you gather enemies up as you roll, similar to the other Needle Abilities, but firing the Crystal Needles in front of you as you stop rolling is an excellent way to snipe targets and focus on one or two enemies. While Crystal Needle won't be useful in some situations, it will be more than enough in most levels, making it one of the best in the game.

6 Blizzard Ice

Find the close-range engagement of the other Ice Abilities too risky? Then Blizzard Ice is exactly what you're looking for to remedy the situation. With this Copy Ability, Kirby will launch icicles at his opponent with incredible velocity and range, allowing him to freeze them from a great distance.

Aside from obviously being more robust as it's the last upgrade in the set, the ability to turn enemies into ice cubes from a distance is genuinely one of the best upgrades in the whole game. Blizzard Ice is also helpful in most situations, even boss encounters, which is one of many reasons you should give it a fair shake!

5 Space Ranger

Space Ranger in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Some may prefer the faster rate of fire of the other Ranger Abilities, but the Space Ranger Copy Ability sacrifices a rapid fire rate for raw damage and other nifty tricks. With one shot, the Space Ranger deals double the damage than that of the previous upgrade. Not only that but charging up your shot will catch the enemy up in a whirlwind of sparks, dealing several hits and lots of damage.

Obviously, like every entry of the Ranger Abilities, the Space Ranger is situational and fails in close-range engagements or tight spaces. However, when it comes to the vast majority of boss encounters in the game, the Space Ranger Copy Ability is surprisingly efficient, making quick work of most bosses.

4 Twin Drill

Twin Drill in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

As if the name wasn't enough to sell you, the Twin Drill quite literally doubles everything the original Drill Copy Ability offers and is a glorious upgrade in every way. The damage and speed are now amplified, allowing you to zip around underground and pop up on unsuspecting enemies to deal an absurd amount of damage to them.

Furthermore, the Twin Drill Copy Ability also has a reliable above-ground attack, making it useful in many more situations than the previous upgrades. However, this doesn't mean it will be the best in every situation, just that it's now a viable option for a broader range of scenarios. Still, this is an excellent Copy Ability that should not get slept on!

3 Masked Hammer

Masked Hammer in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Being the last upgrade to the Hammer tree, the Masked Hammer Copy Ability is genuinely one of a kind and is one of the best in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Not only do you wield two large mallets, but you also swing them at a rapid pace and deal an unholy amount of damage to anything that crosses your path.

Slamming the hammers on the ground will create a whirlwind of fire, with the charged attack sending Kirby spiraling in a controlled rampage, wiping out everything in the surrounding area. The Masked Hammer is a late-game Copy Ability for a reason. It's unmatchable in what it can achieve.

2 Meta Knight Sword

Need we say more than this sword allows you to copy Meta Knight's abilities? Well, if you insist, I guess we can point out that the Meta Knight Sword Copy Ability dishes out more damage than the Gigant Sword and swings much faster than the standard Sword Copy Ability.

Another awesome feature of the Meta Knight Sword is, if Kirby is at full health, it will launch Crescent Shots out with each slash, making for a viable ranged option. Also, did we mention that you also have access to Meta Knight's abilities?!

1 Morpho Knight Sword

Morpho Knight Sword in Kirby and the Forgotten Land

With the Morpho Knight Sword being the last copy ability you will obtain in the game, it has to be undoubtedly God-Tier, right? In this case, you are correct, and the Morpho Knight Sword shines brighter than every other Copy Ability in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

The Morpho Knight Sword has maximum Power and Rapid-Fire Stats and unleashes a tornado of fire and chaos with each swing. It's similar to the Meta Knight Sword in many ways but is substantially stronger in every way, shape, and form.
