Escape rooms are a wonderful way to work out your brain while having fun, but most people are only familiar with physical escape rooms. Fortnite’s Creative mode, however, has a great range of possibilities for creators to make many different types of games including complex and deep escape rooms.
Escape rooms in Fortnite take lots of inspiration from real-life puzzles and challenges while also incorporating many features that only video games can implement. From parkouring through the map to find hidden entrances and items, to interacting with the game world in specific ways, many of the puzzles created in Fortnite’s Creative mode push the envelope on what you can expect to encounter in an escape room.

A combination escape room and scavenger hunt, Escape the Pirate Cruise features a colorful map where you and your friends race through all the levels to get to the end. Hidden throughout each level are items you need to find to advance. At first, the items are noticeable and slightly obviously placed. However, with each passing level, the items become increasingly more hidden and satisfying to find.
You can decide whether to work as a team to rush through the map as fast as you can or create a competition to be the first through by not sharing where you’ve found each item. You can also join a public lobby to play with the many daily players in Fortnite.

With 50 levels split through five different environments, this escape room is a prime map for learning the basics of Fortnite escape rooms and speed running if you’re a parkour speed demon. Each level is fairly quick once you get into the groove of searching for secret entrances, and it’s very refreshing to advance into a new environment.
This map is very beginner-friendly and while it doesn’t dip into any seriously complex puzzles or escape room tropes, it does introduce you to how escape rooms work as well as get you into the right mindset to fly through each level.

Take a change of pace from the other escape rooms and maps with this more leisurely and slow-paced map. In the Escape Islands, there are 44 islands for you to go through and solve puzzles in. Lots of these include searching for hidden things on the island or gathering resources and so set a different pace compared to other maps.
There's nothing creepy here and cooperation with your teammates is highly encouraged to get you all through the islands. It’s also very beginner-friendly and shows all of your objectives throughout the game, so you’re never left wondering what you should do next.

There are 25 levels among five different worlds in this escape room map. Each world has its own distinctive theme that is pulled straight from the Fortnite Battle Royale map with classics like Slappy Shores or Sanctuary. This map features a lot of hidden entrances to find but also features some commonplace objects that do quite a variety of things when interacted with.
A special feature of this map is that you are free to choose between any of the worlds to start with, allowing you to complete this challenge in any order you choose.

A mammoth 85 levels is a lot to go through, but this map places them in a flow that keeps you moving along swimmingly. Most of the levels revolve around parkouring around the map to explore and find the path forward and in doing so takes you through many different themes and worlds.
You can expect to find hidden entrances that lead you to unique tools that will propel you through the levels. Lots of different game mechanics also come into play on this map including Grapplers, moving platforms, and even Prop Guns to transform into objects to beat the level.

If exploring creepy abandoned buildings, jump scares, and extra optional challenges interest you, then this horror-themed escape room might just be the perfect fit. It's an incredibly detailed and expansive map for you to run, jump, and crawl through to discover the hidden entrance in each level. Watch out though, some of the hidden entrances you find are actually trick doors with jump scares hidden behind them.
With 24 levels, this escape room will take a substantial amount of time to beat and will be a thrilling time throughout the map. For a bonus challenge, you can try to beat this map without using the given flashlight and find all the hidden pumpkins as well.

Different creators put their own tastes and twists into every map they make and Escape: The Haunted Mansion is no exception with its detailed map and well-written story. The map starts out pitch black, requiring you to find a torch to begin searching for a way out of your locked cell. As you progress, you start learning more and more about what’s happened to your character as well as the lore of this world.
Both the storyline of the game and the different puzzle mechanics make this escape room shine radiantly even though the map is dark and creepy.
3 Duo Escape-Run & Boss Fight By Qtuiii

While most escape rooms require you to work as a team to get to the end, this map involves you and a partner splitting up to work in tandem but separately to solve puzzles. Throughout this escape room you’ll take a different path than your partner but will often meet up to solve puzzles that require some intricate teamwork to navigate.
You’ll also encounter plenty of parkour elements in the game that will eventually lead you to the end of the 15 levels where you’ll face a boss and his guards. The levels themselves are no small feat and paired with the final boss fight you’ll find yourself quite a challenge in this co-op escape room.
2 The Fortnite Backrooms By fgb

Based on the creepy-pasta Backrooms stories, this map brings you to another reality where you’re trapped in a seemingly endless array of rooms and halls. With 18 levels to explore and solve, you’ll likely spend several hours getting lost in the increasingly creepy Backrooms.
The map design here is spectacular and has the power to instill fear and uneasiness in you with every level. On top of that, the creator has hidden over 25 teddy bears for you to find that unlock more levels for you to complete. Expect to be thoroughly creeped out while you’re playing this escape room and being tricked by the many different enigmas throughout the map.

If you’ve ever done an escape room in real life, you’ll feel the same confusion that leads to gradual understanding and finally great satisfaction in the Guardians Escape Room. This escape room is among the most complex and intricate puzzle-based escape rooms in Fortnite Creative mode. You’ll need a keen eye to spot all the clues placed around the gorgeous temple room and a sharp mind to apply all those clues to the puzzles in the center of the room.
Beating this escape room is no easy feat and is very likely to take you a significant amount of time to beat. However, if you do manage to figure it all out, you’ll be rewarded with incredibly creative features and puzzle solutions that will leave you feeling like a genius.
